Great Ideas of Humanity Poster
DESIGN MUSEUM OF CHICAGO: GREAT IDEAS OF HUMANITY POSTER
As an intern, I created a poster to announce the upcoming exhibition “Great Ideas of Humanity”, using the given quote; “Language is the armory of the human mind, and at once contains the trophies of its past and the weapons of its future conquests.”—Samuel Taylor Coleridge. With the absence of a computer, I challenged myself to go hands-on this project. Thinking about ways in which we represent ideas visually, both through symbols, signs, images, and type and how these elements can be manipulated or juxtaposed to create a dynamic design. I considered scale, composition, color, balance, symmetry and asymmetry, texture, line, etc. to communicate my ideas.
This poster has been left at the Design Museum of Chicago to be sold during the duration of the exhibition; Great Ideas of Humanity.
